Trying Everything: OVCC Performs in Shanghai Disney’s Zootopia Land
Singing “Try Everything” in Shanghai Disney’s brand-new Zootopia Land was nothing short of magical: the energy, the music, the setting—everything aligned in the best way. But the song didn’t just complement the moment. It became the theme of our entire first trip to China.
As the choir explored Shanghai, they were constantly stepping into the unfamiliar:
• tasting new foods,
• seeing new places,
• navigating a new culture,
• and finding ways to connect across a language barrier.
Every experience—big or small—reminded us why this song matters. Trying new things isn’t always comfortable, but it’s how we grow. It’s how we discover passions we didn’t know we had and strengths we didn’t realize we were building.
That’s the heart behind this performance.
When you get the chance to stretch, learn, or try something new—take it. Even if you might fail. Even if it feels awkward or scary. You never know what part of your story is waiting on the other side.
