One Voice Children’s Choir celebrates the people who become our home.
“Chosen Family” is a powerful reminder that the people who walk beside us—through joy, hardship, and everything in between—don’t have to share our last name to feel like family. In this heartfelt cover, One Voice Children’s Choir brings the song’s message to life with emotional harmonies and a visual story about belonging, acceptance, and unconditional support.
Recorded as part of our MEMORIES album, this music video highlights the friendships and deep bonds formed within the choir. Every child brings their own unique story, but together they create something bigger: a community built on love, trust, and shared experiences.
As the lyrics say, “We don’t need to be related to relate.” Through music, we find connection. Through each other, we find family.

Originally written by Rina Sawayama and Danny L Harle, “Chosen Family” honors the idea that the people we choose can shape us just as deeply as the families we’re born into. OVCC’s version amplifies that meaning with youthful honesty and rich, layered vocals.
