One Voice Children’s Choir Brings “如愿 (Wish)” to Life on Their Second China Tour
Stream: 如愿 (Wish)
This year, One Voice Children’s Choir embarked on its second concert tour in China, performing in five major cities: Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Beijing. Throughout the tour, the choir had the privilege of meeting and interacting with hundreds of local children and youth. The warmth, kindness, and energy of the audiences deeply inspired them. Even on the other side of the world, the choir felt at home.
For this performance, the choir spent several months preparing the song in Chinese, ensuring that every note, word, and emotion resonated authentically. The song, “如愿 (Wish),” speaks to legacy — the ways our lives are built upon the dreams, love, and dedication of those who came before us. Performing it live and seeing the audience’s excitement each time brought a profound sense of connection and joy.
“This song is about legacy and how our lives are built upon those who come before us. We’re thankful for the power of music and the wonderful way it can be a bridge between people around the world.”
In honor of the season, One Voice Children’s Choir extends wishes for a Happy Chinese New Year! May 2025 bring happiness, hope, and love to all.

About “如愿 (Wish)”
Lyrics (excerpt):
你是遥遥的路
山野大雾里的灯
我是孩童啊
走在你的眼眸
…
天边的月 心中的念
你永在我身边
This heartfelt song reflects hope, dreams, and the connections we carry with us through life. The choir’s performance highlights both the beauty of the language and the emotional resonance of the music, making it a bridge between cultures and generations.
