When Autumn auditioned for the choir, we could tell she had something in her, but was extremely shy. We had to have her stay behind at the audition so she could sing without anyone watching. It was there that she told us that she only ever sang for her cat at home.
Autumn went from being extremely shy, to one of the most open performers we had in the choir. During these years, she found community, learned to process tough things in her life, and overcame her fear of being seen.
She has since gone on to perform in musical theatre and hopes to be on Broadway. Autumn and her mother have shared that One Voice Children’s Choir changed her life and that they are forever grateful.
